CLEVER

The main objectives of the CLEVER project are:

1. To build the institutional capacity of PREI-ISAF so that it can operate in a structured and continuous manner as a platform for coordination between the various regional scientific, technological, academic and industrial bodies, and as a promoter of innovation in the field of industrialisation and advanced manufacturing systems.

2. To ensure the ongoing dynamism of PREI through activities to coordinate, monitor and promote collaborative initiatives and projects within the framework of S3 NORTE 2027.

3. To encourage the identification and prioritisation of strategic investments, based on participatory processes that foster entrepreneurial discovery, particularly for the development of technological infrastructure and high value-added solutions

4. To promote coordination between the scientific, technological and business sectors, ensuring that the strategy is translated into concrete actions that have an impact on regional and national competitiveness.

5. Establish a monitoring and evaluation system, with performance indicators that enable the effectiveness of the PREI-ISAF and the degree to which the planned strategic actions have been implemented to be monitored.

The CLEVER project – Capacity-building for Industrialisation and Advanced Manufacturing Systems in the Northern Region – is a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening the institutional capacity of the Regional Platform for Smart Specialisation (PREI) in the field of Industrialisation and Advanced Manufacturing Systems (ISAF).

It is a key instrument for the implementation of the S3 NORTE 2027 Regional Smart Specialisation Strategy, ensuring the effective governance and operationalisation of entrepreneurial innovation in the Northern Region.

The project comprises four priority actions:

Action 1 – Management and promotion of the PREI;

Action 2 – Capacity-building, dissemination and territorialisation;

Action 3 – Smart specialisation chains;

Action 4 – Qualifications and skills.
