PRODUTECH OPEN DAYS

WHAT IS IT

The PRODUTECH OPEN DAYs are initiatives held in leading companies from the manufacturing industry (users of production technologies) to an audience composed by production technology companies and R&D organizations active in advanced manufacturing domains.

OBJECTIVE

The PRODUTECH OPEN DAYS aim to identify solutions, capacities and competencies able to provide answers to the main manufacturing constrains, bottlenecks, needs and/or trends, of the hosting company and related sector.  As such, these events target the development of business opportunities and new cooperation agreements, between the suppliers of production technologies, R&D and innovation support organizations and user sectors, within the domains of R&D, Innovation or technology transfer.  It promotes a direct communication between the relevant parties for the establishment of business proposals (solutions available), for technology transfer (e.g. ranging from take-up and intersectorial transfer, to the customization of solutions and required adaptation) and for the set-up new R&D and demonstration projects.

HOW IT IS ORGANIZED

A PRODUTECH OPEN DAY usually takes an afternoon, and is held at the facilities of the hosting company. The audience is composed by technology suppliers and R&D and competence centers dealing with production technologies. It starts with a presentation from the hosting company on its bottlenecks, constrains and challenges in terms of production processes and technologies. It follows a visit through the shop floor to explain and to enable an in-loco visualization of the presented challenges. After the visit, hosting company representative and the audience return to the room where proposals for solutions and technologies are presented, triggering a bi/multi-lateral process towards the deployment of envisaged solutions.
