46th CIRP Conference on Manufacturing Systems

CENI, CIRP, Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal and PRODUTECH organized the 46th CIRP Conference on Manufacturing Systems, took place in Sesimbra, Portugal on May 29th to 31st, 2013. This edition’s the theme was “Economic Development and Wealth through Globally Competitive Manufacturing Systems”.

This event discussed and highlighted the relevance of manufacturing systems for a sustainable development of societies in different regions in the world, supplying added value products, creating employment and improving the people’s standard of living.

The conference program included keynote speakers and parallel sessions with scientific papers and industrial projects were presented.
