Energy and Environmental Efficiency of Manufacturing Systems

The aim with this workshop was to discuss and make companies aware of the benefits of taking a proactive action in order to improve the energy and environmental efficiency of the manufacturing systems.

The workshop focused on two main approaches:

  1. A systemic approach to the companies’ energy component, providing an integrated overview of all consumption sources. 
  2. An approach to the techniques and practices for the design and project of manufacturing systems in order to incorporate the requirements for the maximization of energy efficiency of productive systems, right at the design phase.


At the end of the workshop, there was a brokerage event that is open to every workshop participant. The aim with this brokerage event was to identify and discuss possible collaboration opportunities in these areas.
